LOCAL GRANT ASSISTED FUNDING CURRENTLY AVAILABLE:
Currently available via BUSINESS LINK, funded by East Midlands Business Ltd (EMBL) under their ‘LEADERS FIRST’ Development Programme:
How much is available?
- Up to £500 with no contribution
- Up to a further £500, matched by you (i.e. £1000 max funding)
- If the amount of the training is less than the grant offered then the lesser amount will be paid.
Qualifying criteria:
- Minimum 5 people working for your business
- The coaching is for you to help satisfy a development need
- Your Company is not owned more than 25% by another Company
- You have not accessed Leadership & Management Grant previously from BL
- You are Director/Owner Manager or Senior Manager. (1 person can apply per Organisation)
- Grants will be awarded on a first come first served basis.
'LEADERS FIRST’ FUNDING APPLICATION PROCESS
1. Identify your coaching requirements as part of your Personal Development Plan (PDP)
(Note: FREE help with preparing your PDP is available via other Business on Toast members)
2. Select which BoT Academy courses fulfil your needs
3. Contact your local Business Link Adviser to explain what you require , they will check the qualifying criteria and contact EMBL
4. EMBL will contact you (typically within 3-4 days)
- Advise them of your needs etc. as above and that:
- You have identified a Provider (BoT Academy), run by LinqLaw Ltd.
- The coaching will cost a total of £500, including 121 support
5. EMBL will go through a Q&A process ,lasting about 15 minutes. As well as above info, you will need to have to hand:
- Your company registration details
- VAT number (if applicable)
- Business bank account details
6. 3 Forms will need your signature and returning to EMBL within 5 working days:
- BITE (Business Improvement Tool for Entrepreneurs)
- PDP (Personal Development Programme)
- Grant Application Form
7. Application takes up to 20 days after receipt by EMBL to send you their offer (typically 7- 10 days).
8. Once you have the offer, pay "LinqLaw ltd" for the training course(s)
- Training must take place within 75 days of your initial application
9. To receive funding you must provide 5 documents:
- Your invoice to EMBL on your company letterhead
- Copy of the invoice for training from LinqLaw Ltd
- Proof of full Payment from LinqLaw Ltd (receipt)
- Commence of Learning form (form provided by EMBL)
- Leaders First review document (form provided by EMBL))
12. Payment for funding amount approved should be received direct to your own bank within 30 days
